tachy Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I have just upgraded from a 1999 GS 300 to the 2006 model. Although there are many improvements (too numerous to mention), I do think the driver's instrument panel is a step backward. Truly the prior GS style instruments which had a white background were by far the best I have ever seen in all lighting conditions. I live in flordia, an there is alot of direct sunlight. There is definitely more glare on from the new panel, and from the metalic background at times, as the sun bounces off of it. I have tried all of the instrument glass settings as well. It is by far not bad, but the old style was I think the best design I have seen. Just my 2 cents.
