P0330 - Knock Sensor Malfunction - Rx300

Hi All,

I was getting a P0171 error, (rx300 - 2000) which got fixed by replacing the A/F ration sensor. As soon as it was fixed my mechanic saw P0330 code (knock Sensor Malfunction). Now the truck doesnot go in overdrive $ 40 mph.

Can anyone suggest if the knock sensors have gone bad? and if there is a solution to it? How much would it cost to replace or repair such a problem?

The knock sensor could had been bad all along but could not be "uncovered", detected by the ECU, siince the failing oxygen sensor "shadowed" it.

A/F ratio sensor is the oxygen sensor before the catalyst vs the one after.
