Power, Normal?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a 93 SC400 and I was wondering exactly what that switch like button that says normal, and power on it exactly does? Thanks in advance.

Yes in normal it stays in gear longer. When the power is on your transmition downshift quicker and easier. Your transmition becomes more sensative, to how quickley you hit the gas. You can test it with power off hit the gas fast half way, then do that same thing with the power on, you will notice with the power on it will downshift much faster. With the power on it also shifts closer to red line when you have it floored.
