9006 Hid Kits Or Just Bulb?

Just bought me a 92 SC400. Drive like a dream car :).

I would like to upgrade the head light to HID. Did some research and the kit for low beam is Xetronic HID Xenon Conversion Kits 9006.

But there is also HID bulb for the 9006.

Now does it mean I have to buy the kits to do HID? or can I just get the bulb and put it in the OEM light housing?

Or is there a "more economic" way of going HID?

You need the kit so you have the ballast to start and run the HID bulbs.

I would highly recommend a philips hid system. Well worth the money!
