Unclearcoated single stage black, thats black paint on the pad.

To clean it I'd soak it in an all purpose cleaner and let it sit, then rinse and wring it out.

Its going to get that dirty whenever you buff the car since its single stage.

I just wash mine in the kitchen sink with either dawn dish liquid or Sonus der Wunder wasche.

Soak the pads in the soapy water for 10-20 minutes, then work the soap through the pads and rince well.

To dry them just squeeze as much water out and then squeez them in a bath towel. I store mine in a plastic zip lock bag(be sure pad in completly dry first before storing in bag.

Ahhhhhhh BLACK PAINT??

Okay well I washed it in water and rung it out.

Now I see some deep oxidation. I tried the clay on it and nothing happened. So I get the impression there is a point of no return or a new paint job.

So the polish, wax then glaze with the orbitz is the best it will get.

See my post in your other thread about the claybar.

Did you notice the "oxidation" before or after you polished out the paint? Can you post some pictures?

I'm sure its not that it needs new paint, the single stage black can be hard to work with but there's a LOT of color coat on there that would have to go bad before the paint were to give out.
