2004 Navigation

Has anyone updated the navigation cd on the 2004 rx330 because im planning to do that at then next service. The newer models all have the blue screen where the background color or blue instead of this ugly brown color. I just want to know if the update will make it the blue color? thanks for any help

I updated the Nav DVD on my 2002 Rx 300 in June '05. The color is still brown. :(

No the new update will not change a thing but, it will update roads, POI's ect....

I was hoping the same thing as you but you will not notice a differance really

Another thing; is there a way to just have a display of information like temps etc. while not using the navi?

You can have it display the Ave MPG and DTE without the nav on.

Yeah i know that..i just wish there was a way to have the screen display everyhing....just like if i didn't have navi all together

How easy is it to update the nav? Just put in the disc and that's all?

Also, would all 2004 Lexus navi discs work for a 2004 rx330? Since they all look the same anyway...

wait, someone mentioned displaying mpg and stuf without nav, how do u do that on a rx330. Damnit no blue screen, refer to the "entering directions while driving topic" and look at hte pictures.

why cant u just put any lexus nav cd into the reader...shouldnt it all be the same considering its just like a computer reading a cd?

I have an 04 rx330 with nav.

Anyone know the least expensive way to update the nav?

I'm not concerned about color and cosmetics, would just like the updated streets, poi's....
