Problem With Es250 Key Ignition Entry

My key to my lexus wont go in all the way when trying to put it into my ignition, it only goes half way. I cant start my car because of this! What is wrong? could I fix it myself. Thanks!

P.s- I know nothing is blocking the key because I manage to get the key in after "trying". (got a blister, and sore wrist). But after i take it out the same problem trying to put it in again.

try the steering wheel lock ...sometimes that thing gets in the way.

This has happened on my car also.

Try pressing the key release button above the ingnition switch and inserting the key in at the same time. Or try pressing the button a few times before inserting the key. If the button does not pop up when you insert the key, then it's stuck and you might need a new ignition.
