I have a 96 LX 450. I went to replace the front brake rotors and couldn't figure how to remove them. I removed the caliper, but was unable to figure ot how to get them over the end of the axle. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob.

You have to take the hub off and then remove the 8 bolts that hold the rotor to the plate. Since you will have to pull the hub off, make sure you have the right gaskets before you start and you might as well clean and repack the bearings since you will be taking them off. If you haven't done the front axle rebuild and it has 100K miles, you might consider a Front Axle rebuild and replace the rotors while your at it.

Here is a thread from a person in a similar predicament.

If you read the thread in the link provided by Romer, you'll see that it's not necessarily a quick job to replace the front rotors on a LX 450. When I replace my front rotors (my first time doing it) it took me about 3 hours per side. I repacked the wheel bearings during the process, so that added a little time...but not much...

Rear rotors, on the other hand should take you about 20 to 30 minutes per side to complete.
