TexGX Posted July 1, 2005 Author Posted July 1, 2005 gx470.bmpPrado, Good to here from a fellow off-roader. Not many guys over here take thier GX off-road. The GX does not come in manual in the states. My Gx has handled great off-road. If you look at some of the old post, I think I posted a few of me off-roading in Arizona. I have a ton of questions for you. I have been tring to find out if the ARB roof rack will work with my GX. I want to take off my factory rack and add the ARB one, but I want it to attach to the factory holes. I have seen pictures of the Prado with the tire mounted on the rear door. I wonder if I would need to modify the hindges if I mounted mine on the door. I would like to add the ARB bull quard, but they will not sell it to us in the states. Have you modified your Prado? If so, what did you do. I found the link: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...l=broken++arrow TexGX ←
Prado Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Hi There, Only put new chock in mine to make it a little more durable in off road conditions and give a little more travel. My Roo Bar (Bull Bar) Is Factory Totota and I would think that there would be no problem in mounting that to GX as they both use the same Chassis etc and its only really cosmetic difference's. There are alot of options with regards to Roof Racks, Rhino Rack make some great stuff for My Car I am just about to puschase the Rhino Roof Racks and the removable cargo basket as I am planning a trip across australia later in the Year and need to carry extra Fuel and tyres etc. Thanks.

It has been great. I have check a few times to make sure that everything is tight and everything still is. TexGX
