Windshield Wiper Thumping

I think there is a TSB on this, but just curious if any quick fixes. It's the rainy season down here now, and hurricane season too. Yesterday I had my wipers on max, and I really noticed a loud thump when the wipers hit thier down position, like they're smaking the dashboard. Any suggestions on why this is?

I'd try removing the wiper arm from the spline bolt that it is on and rotating the arm one or two positions up to change how far down the down travel takes you.
