laoshan
I just bought a 1996 Lexus es300, it running fine except oil leak, after I ask dealer replaced VC gasket, it came out a strange problem, when I push the fuel pedal very slightly(in idle), engine will miss, and when I run on a very smooth road at about 40-50MPH, it looks like I drive on a bumpy road, I think I also apply gas very slightly. If I push the pedal a little bit hard, or don't push pedal, no any problem. Anyone knows what's wrong with the car, please give me help. vcv10guy
I would bring it back to the dealer since you said it started happening right when they finished working on your vehicle. It could be a coincidence, but you never know. I would also run a search on "engine miss" or "rough acceleration" etc... I'm sure this topic has come up before. Good luck with that, and also was the PCV valve changed when you had the valve cover gaskets replaced (clogged/dirty PCV valve is usually the cause for valve cover oil leaks)?
