Front Brakes On 96 Ls

The front brakes on my 96 ls do not look anything like the tutorals in lexls.com. It appears to be much more complicated.  Does anyone know where another one (tutoral) is?

Thanks

in 1995, Lexus switched to a 4-piston caliper setup instead of twin piston on the 93+, and one on the 90-92.

(which was reallly cool since it was VERY rare in the industry back then.)

Rare on some cars. Volvo used four piston front calipers, and two piston rears from 1967 to 1992. Worst thing they did was drop those fixed calipers for the sliding style on the 700's and all front drivers.

At least Lexus went to the four piston, rather than drop them. Great brakes.

Good info, never knew that.

Mind if I ask what the difference is with the "Sliding" style calipers?

You learn new things everyday. I actually never thought about Volvo’s, always compared Lexus to domestics as well as BMW/Mercedes/Acura.
