I'm in the 35k to 40k mi range, and I'd like to hear if that is 'typical'.

Also, the specs for the new 2006 GS300 state that tire life could be

'substantially less than 20k mi'. This has me concerned, since I'm thinking about picking one up. Maybe if I'm autoX'ing it.....

Thanks everyone!

If you go to a top quality high performance all season or even an Ultra high performance all season, you will get much more mileage out of your tires. Any type of 'summer' tire is not built for long mileage I'm sorry to say. :(

This would be the case if you have lower profile performance tires. The performance tires have a softer compound so you have more dry weather grip. It is great for summer handling but bad for tire life. On the 2nd Gen GS, you had the option of 16s and 17s. On the 17s, you'd have this warning since you running a more performance type setup. Now that the new GS has 17s and 18s, the same warnings would naturally be the same.
