90LS400 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I just moved to Northern Virginia, about 30 miles West of Washington D.C. , and was looking for an alternative to Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly. Prior to moving, I used to take my 1990 LS400 to Exact Auto Performance, just outside of Kansas City. One of the last things they told me was that I need to get the lower ball joints replaced, both sides. I called a local Toyota dealer and they gave me a price of "just under $500" for the work and an alignment. I did read the other DIY forum on lower ball joints. Since I am not mechanically inclined, I want the peace of mind of knowing that its done right. Please let me know if you can recommend anyone in this area. Thank you.

Thank you. ← ← I work near Pohanka Lexus and I thought their service center was really nice and facilitated how to get easy service. I only got my tire repaired. I thought their prices were high but the surroundings were great. Office area for 20 with internet hookup and free coffee, cokes, donuts, and chips. I did notice their car detailing was high (250) compared to Lexus of Silver Spring (175). They were not willing to negotiate on the price. I would rather a lexus mechanic work on my car vs. a Toyota mechanic. I would be interested in an independent mechanic. Did you have a negative experience with Pohanka? Thanks.
lexustech Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I would recommend Chantilly Repair Center. They are an independent lexus and Toyota specialist. www.chantillyrepaircenter.com They are extremely qualified and have all the necessary equipment to do everything that the dealer can do. Good luck.
Norboo Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I only know Chantilly Repair Center. Omar did a great job on my timing belt. If you find a better place/prie, post it and share. :)
