95 Ls Ecu Rebuilding

The ECU brackett bolts are burried behind the CD changer. Do I have to remove it to get to the upper bracket bolts? Perhaps LS400bob can help since he has done it before.

I did not have to remove the cd changer. But the bolts are way up there and mostly by feel to get them out. I took out the cruise computer and they gave me more room and I got that top bolt out.

he is sending it to some company in florida to get it reprogramed or something because it stalled out on him once and apparently its a common problem on 95s

I'm replacing caps in LS400 ECU and down to the last (upper) braket on the ECU. Is it held by one bolt? Ten MM?. Can I get to it with a socket?

Bill, it looks like there are about 3 nuts holding the ECU to several brackets. I have heard that the nuts are 12mm but my experience with Lexus shows them to love 10mm. In any case, get a good light in there and you should be able to see how to proceed.
