oohryry Posted March 4, 2005 Share Posted March 4, 2005 LS 400, I just had to have one. Recently purchased 98 LS400 from a dealer in Jamaica, New York. Horsepower Sales. Had Maryland inspected at Len Stoler Lexus and vehicle needed motor mounts, trans mount, inner & outer tie rods. Dealer said he would repair upon return to New York. He didn't repair anything and his mechanic heated the tie rods. Then dealer tells me not to bring it back because I've driven it past his warranty period. I'll find a lawyer for that one. But getting to the point. I purchased parts Lexus of Towson dealership and had them repaired at Midas. Returned to Len Stoler for reinspection to find out their customer service representive forgot to put on the repair statement that the Strut Rod Bushings had to be replaced. Is this task relatively simple seeing I'm already $1500.00 in the hole from parts and labor. Id rather do it myself if possible. All help appreciated. Hopefully not. ← Man, I don't have a torque wrench so I will have to take it to Midas. They want $76 in labor per rod to put them on. I purchased them both rods for $260 from the dealer today.
