Overriding "safety Features"?

My '05 RX330 came fully equipped. Is it possible to override the safety features that prevent navigation while driving and bluetooth hands-free phone while driving? What's the point of hands-free while sitting on the side of the road?

We leased the car so I don' t want to make any permanent changes. If these overrides are possible, can the "switch" be flipped back before we return it?

Take a look at that topic. A member was able to override the feature so he can use the navi without stopping the vehicle. Problem is though, the procedure seems a bit on the tough side on reversing. Hope it helps you out.
