LKY Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I'm going out of town for couple of months and I was wondering if I should take the battery out of my RX300 or if I should just get my family to start it once in while for me? Any advice? Thanks
cruznroadking Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 My suggestion is to let someone drive it once a week to keep the battery charged up. Have them take it on the freeway to charge up the battery faster. You can also invest in a battery tender. I use one by Griots. You hook it up to the battery terminals & connect it to the battery tender when the car is going to sit for awhile. The battery tender has a micro chip that senses when the battery is low & then charges the battery & shuts it off when it's fully charged. I have 2 project cars that sit around alot during winter & it works great. If you decide to disconnect the battery you'll lose the memory for the radio, seat memory etc. LOL
