At&t And Bluetooth Phones

Hi all,

I am the proud owner (as of last Saturday) of a 2005 RX330. I currently have AT&T cell phone service and I'd like to keep them because of the corporate discounts I receive.

Now, when I go to lexus.letstalk.com, they only have 2 phones listed for AT&T: Nokia 6820 and Nokia 6620.

My questions:

- Does anyone else have AT&T and a bluetooth phone that connects to the '05 RX330? If so, what model phone are you using?

- If you *do* have the 6820, how well does it work?

- Other than the 2 listed on Letstalk, are there any other AT&T BT phones you know of that will work with the RX330? (I called Letstalk to find out, but phew! What a moron I got on the phone! She thought that "RX330" was a phone model. Sheesh!)

Thanks!

Phyl

Double check and see if your discounts apply to Cingular now that they've merged. I know within a few months AT&T will dissapear and the service will become all Cingular. I say this because Cingular has better phones.

I have already scoured this board for info on bluetooth, but there didn't seem to be any listings specifically referring to AT&T, which is what prompted my post.

There is a pretty neat website that has lots of Q&A for bluetooth and cars, which might be of interest to some: the bluetooth car weblog

I'll keep checking around.

if you can use cingular, i would. i have an '05 rx330 and i use me bluetooth.

i have the motorola V551. it works great. of course i'm speaking only on the fact that it works, service areas vary as reception goes. as far as i know that is one of the only bluetooth capable phones that cingular offers, that is why i got it.

my only complaint is the phonebook issue that has been mentioned on different threads. the fact that you can only add/synch one entry at a time is kinda time consuming, but IMHO it is worth it.

i'm in southern california and have had good luck w/ cingular, i used to be with nextel (huge mistake) and i'm glad i switched.
