PK_Lex Posted February 18, 2005 Share Posted February 18, 2005 I watched a tail end of the show where the guy was spraying some cleaner in the hose that attaches to air filter. I'm not sure what that was, but I think he said it was carborator cleaner. Is that safe to spray and does it help in cleaning up clogs if there are any inside the hose? silvermate Posted February 18, 2005 Share Posted February 18, 2005 i don't really see how the rubber intake house can get clogged, but anywho if you are going to clean that you need to clean your throttle body......that will yield the biggest noticeable gains. better throttle response, better idle ect....... just go pick up some STP throttle body cleaner at you local autoshop....it runs about 2 dollars per can......STP i beleive is one the best in that category Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

stockgixer Posted February 19, 2005 Share Posted February 19, 2005 I've used BG44K Fuel Injector Cleaner. Just add a can to your gas. Never had to go in thru the air-cleaner hosing.
