I'm starting my search for my next vehicle and I'm trying to decide between an '01 GS300 or an '01 530i. Curious to know if anyone here has owned both? I do quite a bit of highway miles and I've heard that the 530i will get 30mpg on the highway - how about the GS3? I would imagine reliability would go to the Lex, but then again, consumer reports rated the e39 5 series best car ever? Appreciate any insight you have. deadmilenko Posted March 7, 2005 Share Posted March 7, 2005 I considered a 530 before I bought my 00 GS300. In fact it was between the two. Wife wanted the 530, but the GS300 is a better looking car and is a lot better ride then the 530 in my opion. Go for the GS300 you wont be disapointed.
