gav_logan
Hey all, when trying to find rear shock absorbers for my car, everywhere I've called has had to tell me I need to take it in to get checked out, as there are two different types that come with a 93 es300. Can anyone tell me how to check this myself?

xxxavier2k
Yup there's the serviceable, nonservicable and the electronically adjustable. They're made by a few vendors but tokico and kyb are prominent. Try the pinned faqs for more info
SKperformance
for your year and part of the world the 2 types are going to be adjustable and non check the price to determine which is which. Different years are either sealed or sleeved/inserts
gav_logan
Yeah, they were the sealed ones. I ended up opting for getting a shop to do it. I was running out of time, and couldn't stand the spongey ride any longer.
