What'd You Drive Before Your Sc?

Recommended Posts

I drove a '91 Acura Integra that I got used with 70k on it in '94. It was the first car I bought with my own money. I got 273k out of the original engine, and (reluctantly) sold it. But the kid who bought it is a tuner, so I know the teg will be resurected with all the mods I never had the money to get done (i.e., lowering, extensive bodywork, etc.) - I wish I had kept it now, the 2nd generation body style is nearly timeless.

So how about you all? What were some of your previous rides?

Corvette - great car - drive anywhere any time day or night - just to drive.

Jaguar XKE V-12 - fabulous engine - typical British elec problems - ruined everything

Triumph TR 3 - drove it in college - fun car - drive it for an hour, fix it for 2...

VW Scirocco - really fun car - very fast for a 4 banger - handled great .. .

89 Acura Legend Coupe 5 speed - Best Car I ever owned . . .

2000 Maxima SE - very fast - very cushy ride - might consider another one...

Toyota 4 Runner SR5 - just a great vehicle. Hate to get rid of it, because they don't make a manual transmission any more.

Next car - Infinity (either coupe or maybe the G35)... (yeah - right after I get done paying for my son's college education.) That's OK, because he's a good kid and right now he's driving the 93 SC300 5speed Black. (I tried for quite a while to find a 94 Acura Legend Coupe 6 speed for him - but couldn't do it.) That's how we wound up with the Lexus. My feelinf is that it is a good car if we can only get past this darn electrical problem... There were others , but that's all for now. . .javascript:emoticon('')

Black 86 honda prelude si. Odometer stopped running at 186k, prob put another 30 - 40 k on it.

Absolutely love that car. Still have it sitting in my garage. Quicker than my current 95 sc400, doesn't handle as well, but I loved the drift, and I might even consider myself to have mastered it. The "fun driving" car.

Before that 83 Honda CRX, fun little gocart.

1992 Honda Accord I got for $500 with 183k and drank at least a quart of oil between gas fillups. Sold on eBay for $1493.

Bought my current 1992 SC 300 5spd Black for $2500 and been slowly fixing it up. Needs LCA's and new leather.

I'm in a 2001 LS430 for a few months now but the last two were SC400s

1995 SC400 - 257K miles before some idiot ran into it and wrecked it

1992 SC400 - 150K miles, family member hit a deer with it

1990 VW Corrado, 4 banger superchaged, electrical garbage made me get rid of it

1985 LTD Crown Vic. Police Option - 385K miles when the intake manifold went out

1996 Suzuki GSXR 750

1992 Honda CBR 600

1990 Suzuki GS500

1984 Kawasaki Ninja 900

The bikes are always more fun..40 miles per gallon and hp/weight makes it much faster than just about any car on the road

1957 Chevy 2-door Wagon -- my college car -- tilt front end -- wish I'd never sold it!

1973 Porsche 914 -- Great car -- ended up with over 300,000 miles -- It was my car and then both my kids first car -- let it go after it was totalled the second time.

1993 Toyota 4-Runner -- 257,000 miles and still running and very dependable -- not sporty, but very useful!

1993 Toyota Camry -- 320,000 miles and still running and very dependable -- My college age daughter took it over now, and added a tall spoiler.

1999 Jaguar Vanden Plas -- Mostly driven by my wife -- We love the looks, and feel of the car, and all the leg room in both the front and back -- but it's for sale now because little things keep going wrong -- We don't trust it's dependability after 3 water pumps, two steering racks, windshield wiper relays, and a timing chain tensioner shattering.

We all love the SC 300, and everyone in the family wants to take it when going anywhere. Bought it used last year with 109000 miles.

1988-1990 (84') Saab 900 Turbo (Total piece of sh*t... Scares me to think these

guys actually make aircraft.)

1990-1998 (69') Mustang Mach1 (awesome car, but constantly attracted strangers

to the point that it got annoying. Alot of these being ex-con looking

scary trailer types. I would also get pulled over by police weekly for

petty bullsh*t. Attracted alot of smokin-hot latin chicks though.)

1991-1995 (85') Mazda RX7 (fun car.. had an illusion of speed.)

1998-2000 (90') Acura Legend (great car.. quick.. very dependable)

2000- now (93') SC400 (Best car ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) lol. Just wish they

had made a V8 manual trans edition. Automatics bite.
