nismO to TRD
Quick question... I just put some HID lights on my first gen and I wanted to know if it's ok to leave my lights on automatic turn on or should I turn them on and off manualy? The reason why I ask is because there is a drop of volts when they warm up.
TurboGS300
Thats the way I've always done it(auto). The drop in volts will be the same in your car, no matter how you turn them on. I've read it's only bad to turn them on and off rapidly. There really shouldn't be a drop in volts too much. Is the drop with the car off? If the voltage is low to your HID's it can result in early failure of the ballasts. Search! SK posted some info on the voltage drop and the ballasts. <_<
SKperformance
HID's are best to be powered on and off at full engine running voltage for longevity so just say no to the auto switch
