Hello,

This time i have very simple question.

Toyota sienna 99 ,when you start car power door locks by self.

Volkswagon Jetta 01 when drive and reach @10 mph its lock.

How power doors works in Lexus. from inside i can push botton to lock all doors but byself or by driving its not locking door.

Am i missing something?

As far as I know (with my 01 ES) the door locks do not lock automatically at all. You will have to lock them yourself. Check with your owners manual to confirm this (perhaps you can 'program' them, but I don't think so). If you don't have an owners manual, contact Lexus head office & order one (I beleive they are free!).......they are worth their weight in gold even for little things like this. B)

I'm not sure how your year ES door locks work, but on the '02 and up they lock automatically when you put the shift selector in gear. This is the default setting from the factory........but this can be changed by a Lexus dealer...if you choose.

yup!

He has a 97 i don't thing that his does that. I think that he has to lock it manually.
