Ryan Allen
Got a quick question guys... I have a left hand front fender bent. I guess dented pretty bad. It's probably going to have to be replaced and re-painted. Any ideas on the cost to replace and repaint a fender? With OEM parts... Thanks in advance Ryan
jocigar
my wife did the same thing, but we had a new light put in ($400) and refinished the front bumper. $2,400.00 from private local body shop
Unlisted
try to have it fixed first. all lexus panels have vin tags with the vin # stamped on. once replaced it hurts the value. if it not plannning on trading it in at any time soon then it doesnt matter. if you do the dealer will catch it
dougjohn2
While I'd agree that a vehicle without all original parts could be worth less than one with, I doubt it would be the case with a LX 470. As great as these vehicles are, it's unlikely that it'll reach the ultra-collectible stage where it might matter. Ryan -- I notice that you're in Albuquerque. I don't think he can help with Lexus specific parts, but if you need other parts -- such as belts, hoses, oil filters, etc (basically anything mechanical), you might contact Dan at American Toyota (he's the manager of the parts department there). He's a great guy to work with and is extremely knowledgable. I get all my parts from him (shipped to me in CA) -- he's the best!.
Unlisted
a non original panel will raise eyebrows about the full extent of the damage. obviously it was damaged enough to have to be replaced. also would not pass certification if it was sold by a lexus dealer
