I recently had the opportunity to ride in the rear of my RX while my wife drove. While I was in the rear seat behind the passenger seat, I heard this slight rattle from where the overhead clothes hanger/holder is located. However, it is not coming from the hanger. I sounds like it was coming from the black stripping that's right by the window at the top.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm thinking of having the dealership check this when I take the RX in for 20K.

Thank you. I'll call the dealership regarding this TSIB.

Hello Gentlemen,

I am new to this forum and when I saw this topic, I could not resist jumping in.

I not only have the noise from the open sunroof, but also from the dashcover (plastic cover rubbing sound?), minor glove box rattles, minor overhead instrument cluster rattles, thumping sound that seems like coming from the front passenger seat when turning quick left turn (but it is gone since my girl friend sat on it 1 week ago???), and chattering from right rear seat (I think it is because I don't hear it when the rear right seat is fold). My dealer worked on the seat and said loose mounting bolts. Well, it came back less then one week. At my second visit for the seat noise, I heard the noise constantly on the way to the dealer and the service adviser was in a meeting so I did not waite around for him for demo. At the end of the day I was told there was no noise. When I try to demo by driving the car, there was no noise because if the seat is wiggled to hear the noise, I suspect they did, the noise will go away for a day or two. I bought mine in May of 2004. Therefore, all TSB items should have been fixed at the factory, one would only assume! I have heard the right rear seat and overhead istrument cluster noise 1 week after purchase. All other noise after late fall temperature drop. It is not acceptable quality from a $45K vehicle.
