Hello From A Newbie

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to the lexus owners club (literally). Just bought a used 2002 GS430, silver/black, 32K miles, nav, ML, fully loaded. Simply love this car and am still enjoying the honeymoon period, though have already started thinking about mods.

I was considering the SRT high flow intake and had some questions for the experts here.

Does it really make a difference?

Does it void the lexus warranty?

How does it affect the mileage or any other side-effects (like engine noise)?

Do I have to get it installed from a mechanic or can it be done on your own?

I was looking at the following website - http://l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=669 where it is being sold for $525. Is there any other place where I can get it cheaper?

Any other suggested mods to improve performance further.

Also, this car currently has the bridgestone potenza tires (17in rim). I feel that they make a bit too much noise on certain road surfaces. Any suggestion for other tires which may be quiter and how much would they cost?
