sc300ccret Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 I have been on the board for a bit, but never posted. Since I do have a question I figure I'd post videos and pics as a trade... :D Question: How many RSP SC300 5 speeds did Lexus make? Who can I call at Lex to get production numbers? Anyone here know? Now on to my bucket... Here are the list of mods... 2JZ-GTE Swap, AEM EMS, AEM CDI, AEM UEGO,Arias Pistons, Crower Rods, Race Port Head, 1mm oversized Ferrea, HKS 272 Cams,Virtual Works Intake/Exhaust Manifolds, PTE74S Turbo, 1000CC injectors, Big !Removed! intercooler, 4inch downpipe/midpipe into dual 3.5s, Supra 6 Speed and Rear end. Lots of custom stuff. All the work was done by Virtual works racing here in Vegas except the wiring which was physically done by me and guided by Clint Pohler. Everything works in the car except for the temp gauge because the 350ohm resisitor is the wrong value for it. However the AEM knows what the right temp is and thats all that matters:) For those that are looking closely the new redline is at 8700. Video is hosted with 512K up so be patient. http://24.234.117.190/video/1.wmv http://24.234.117.190/video/2.wmv Pics are highres and not 56k friendly. http://24.234.117.190/cl/1.jpg http://24.234.117.190/cl/2.jpg http://24.234.117.190/cl/3.jpg http://24.234.117.190/cl/4.jpg http://24.234.117.190/cl/5.jpg Mike
bartkat Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 That's impressive. I especially like the big !Removed! intercooler
on_chrome Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I don't know how many RSP sc300's have been made, but yours is the 3rd one I've ever seen. You might just want to call the local lexus dealership and ask, I'm sure they'll know. Nice car though. What kind of power are you making?

Going for the 100 octane runs this weekend and the c16 runs the weekend after that. We're hoping for 930 on c16... Should be close. Thanks for the compliment... Mike
jzz30 Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 wow i like it!!! 1000cc injectors, and 100 octane probably means your pushing anywhere from 5-maybe 800 hp? and whats this with low boost? thats a joke right?

Well its funny because I'm used to hearing about other cars (*cough* domestics running low boost meaning 5psi and high boost is like 14-16psi.) Virtual Works has been build very very fast and reliable Supras for years so When they told me what kind of pressures I'd be running I about freaked. Low boost is at 25psi, and high boost on C16 is 39psi I figure the scale is just "different". My S.W.A.G on hp is about 520 as it sits now and over 900 on the C16 tune. We'll know soon enough. :) Mike

BMAN1113 Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Minus the stock SC300, what does it cost to do something like this? Thx

Sadistic Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Minus the stock SC300, what does it cost to do something like this? Thx ← I would say that depends on the amount of work you did yourself, the deal you got on labor and parts, and how much tuning went into it. Probably a good estimation would be around $20,000 (close to cost on parts, and a lot done by yourself) to $35,000. The TT components and engine build would be among the most expensive parts as a whole, with labor and the turbo components coming in next. All in all pretty pricey, but well worth the investment in my eyes.
