SoFreshSoClean Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 most everytime i rev my engine in neutral, i hear a squeek comin from under the hood and it sounds like maybe a belt is slipping. vcv10guy Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 It could be that your drive belts are getting worn out, but more information is needed to make a better speculation. Has it always done that or when did it start happening? Was anything done to the engine recently? steviej Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 get a little squirt bottle of water. Have someone rev the car while in park. Dribble the belt, one at a time, with a little water while it is squeking. SKperformance Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 i think bartkat is joking ( i hope) with the soap their is only one belt for all pulleys you need to adjust the bolt on the alternator to remove some slack but if it never used to slip and is now it probably is worn and needs replacing.
