1991LS400 Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Hey guys, I believe I saw a post on this somewhere before but I'm going to ask this anyway because I like it when I'm replied to rather than read someone else's post. This only happens when I first turn on my engine and I'll hear a knock like a "thunk" when the engine turns on. What could that be? Please help. Thanks everyone.
lovlex Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 both of my lexuses do it when i start them up and so does a friend's lexus when he starts it up. i beginning to think it's normal
1991LS400 Posted November 28, 2004 Author Posted November 28, 2004 No, I'm sure it's not "normal." Anyone else have any other ideas? :whistles:
VBdenny Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 You sure it isn't a clunk from the starter disengaging? These old starters tend to hang engaged sometimes and give a clunk like that.
