RFernand Posted June 7, 2003 Share Posted June 7, 2003 I owned a LX470, 2001 with 19000 miles. I lefted for three months parked in a garage of a house that I owned in Hilton Head Island, SC. (from 8/31/02 to 12/03/02. The truck developed extensive mildew on seats with permanent staining. Also corrosion under the front driver's seat, CD player and even the ring around the ignition key. Lexus states that is not covered by warranty because is due to "the enviroment that the truck was kept in." I am afraid that may be some other damage that I had not discovered as yet. Anyone with similar experience? Any suggestions or help? I really will appreciate any responses as I feel that I must not be the only one with this problem? SKperformance Posted June 8, 2003 Share Posted June 8, 2003 they are pretty much right they won't cover any of it if i where you i would have the vehicle completly detailed for like $300 then take it to get rust proof to be on the safe side as i am sure there is alot you can not see now when you sat corrosion under the seat what do you mean is it a part , bolt or the floor under the truck?
