preetpay Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Hi, I have a 2000 GS400 and I wanted to update my tail lights to the 01+ tail lights. Would they fit directly or would I need to do some wire splicing or change the harness? THanks
SKperformance Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 should meaing "has no clue" the turn signals are in a different place so they will more than likely use a different wiring harness to plug into the light from the body
Neo Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 I'll just confirm what the previous posters said. The 01+ tail lights will bolt right up but you will need a new wiring harness (unless you want to cut/splice/solder).
new big400 Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Your right I said should not that they would.Luckily there are guys like Neo to clarify and not jump down your throat.Should not would.
preetpay Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 Thanks for the replies. So I can just take a wiring harness out of an 01+ GS and it would fit right in place of my old wiring harness? Or would I have to splice wires to get the wiring harness in place. Thanks
