HI! I'm planning to replace all four pads and rotors in a few months. I think I have about 4-5K miles left on the pads and the rotors are warped. My mechanic told me that's its alot cheaper to buy a performance setup as opposed to regular aftermarket/ genuine parts. I was told not only will they be cheaper, they will last longer and perform much, much better. This is a daily driver and I have no intentions to race this thing.

Is this true? Best bang for the buck? Any recommendations on what I should do? Pro's vs Con's?

Thanks.

I have the LS400 upgrade on my 93 sc3 and I have to say if your going to redo your system think about upgrading.

Did you use genuine parts or aftermarket? How much did your set up cost?

Get OEM Toyota pads, have your rotors turned, you'll have excellent brakes that will last another 100k miles. importedcarparts.com have the OEM pads.
