Remote Starter

Has anyone installed remote starter on GX-470? How is it?

And the dealer is telling I should consider the Remote Passive Alarm, which will upgrade the factory installed alarm with automatic starter disabler. Can I just have the automatic starter disabler remote control only without upgrading the alarm?
