Greg25 Posted May 26 Posted May 26 (edited) I have a 2004 Gx470 with a Non Nav Radio. Has CD, Tape, and a Pioneer Amp. The radio gets power, but the display is blank and no sound. Trying to trouble shoot if this could be the amp, or the radio itself. I have checked both Radio1 and Radio2 fuses. Has anyone else had this issue? Edited May 26 by Greg25

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue! Since your radio is getting power but has no display or sound, the problem could be with either the head unit or the Pioneer amplifier. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help narrow it down: Check for loose connections – Inspect the wiring harness behind the radio and amp to ensure nothing has come loose. Test the amplifier – If possible, try bypassing the amp by connecting a speaker directly to the head unit. If sound comes through, the amp may be faulty. Look for signs of failure – Some Lexus owners have reported issues with the amp overheating or failing over time. Inspect for blown capacitors – If you’re comfortable opening the radio, check for swollen or leaking capacitors, which can cause display and audio failures. Consult Lexus forums – Other GX470 owners have discussed similar issues here and shared troubleshooting guides like this one. If you want a visual guide, you might find this YouTube video helpful.
