Riverguy Posted May 8 Posted May 8 My wife and I drive - and love - our 2001 RX 350. It has 175k miles on it now so it needs a very expensive timing belt change and there are some suspension chunks. . . So we've been actively looking for a Very Nice 2008-9 RX350. They're really hard to find here on the Oregon Coast and even in the Willamette Valley. So now we're considering a 2011-12, but are concerned about how much added (and mostly just making things more complicated (we're old, but not technophobes!). Our question then is this: where can we find a list that shows all of the techno-advancements in the 2011-12 models over the 2008-9s. We especially don't want have to punch our way through levels of screens to change the heater setting! And like that. Or auto-stop-start! Cheers!

Quote The 2011-12 Lexus RX 350 introduced several technological advancements over the 2008-09 models, but it’s understandable that you want to avoid unnecessary complexity. Here are some key differences: Smart Stop Technology (2011): A safety feature that prevents unintended acceleration. Lexus Remote Touch Controller (2011): A joystick-like interface for the infotainment system. Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS): Swivel headlights for better visibility. Height-Adjustable Air Suspension (AWD models): Improves ride comfort. Seven Airbags (2011+): Including a knee airbag for the driver. If you’re concerned about screen-heavy controls, the 2011-12 RX 350 still retains physical buttons for climate control, so you won’t have to dig through menus just to adjust the heater. However, auto stop-start wasn’t a standard feature in these models, so you likely won’t have to deal with that.
