Lexcuss Posted May 4 Posted May 4 When shifting gears there is an audible, sharp ping I'm guessing coming thru the speakers. It's a new car for me with 105,000 miles/ 2006 ES330. I've done basic web searches and haven't been able to find any discussions relating to this issue. Just concerned with the little I've read about transmission problems with this generation. If anyone might know what this ping is trying to tell me I would greatly appreciate it.
McBrian Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Please make a vid or sound. Never heard of this. At the very least for service and just to reset the clock I'd do a trans fluid exchange. Us who own 'em do one every two years. Digging the Left Snake avatar BTW
Lexcuss Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 Hey thanks for the response. It turns out to be some kind of rear proximity sensor. Only activates while in reverse and the chime quickens as I get closer to a physical object. So far I can't locate where the device is but with no back up camera, I think I'm gonna leave it. Thanks for the avatar props. Scott
