2021 ES rear parking sensor cap suddenly missing

I own a 2021 ES250 which i bought 8 months ago ...certified car with 31K miles. Back in October i was rearended and the damage cost $7500 to repair....no frame damage  but i was pushed into the car in front of me for some slight front end damage.  Anyway i had the car repaired by a top notch body shop back before end of year. Last week i suddenly noticed that the small circular cap covering the right rear parking sensor was gone! No idea what happened to it but im trying to determine if it is just a cosmetic cover cap that snaps in to the rear bumper or is it a functional part of the parking sensor which requires that i replace the entire sensor to get the cap. It looks to me like it is only a cap but i want to know before i call a dealer who might tell me otherwise.  Any help appreciated.
