AjDeegs Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hello all, I recently bought a 2000 es300 and am working through some of the repairs. It was in a front end collision of some sort and whoever fixed it, put the wrong headlight on the driver side. This one has the HID setup and they put in a standard halogen housing, so obviously none of the plugs or wiring is compatible. What I’m wondering is if, and how, I can change both headlight to halogen. I know HID is king, but I simply can’t afford the HID assembly. modes anyone know if there is an adapter? Or how one would go about getting a halogen assembly to work with the current wiring? Thank you so much and can’t wait to get some feedback on this issue. -alex
McBrian Posted March 24 Posted March 24 No adapters available. You're stuck with HIDs. I researched this when one of my ballasts went bad and it was cheaper to just bite the bullet and deal... Plenty of replacement choices on ebay, etc. www.headlightsdepot.com for ballasts - I was warned about going cheap but these ones have done well.
AjDeegs Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Bummer, I was hoping it didn't come down to that. Thank you for the advice!
