pokcie Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hey, just picked some 2023 is300 rims that are 18x8.5 with a 45 offset and I was wondering if I could fit that with 245/45/18 tires on the car without any rubbing or modifications. Thanks!
Lexus-CT Posted March 20 Posted March 20 225 would be the correct width for 8½. 245 will look a bit bulky. Many would think OK. Depending on driving style.

Are you sure 225 would be the correct width? I'm running 225/45/18 on 18x8 rims right now and that is already stretching the tire. I'm not sure 225 width on 18x8.5 rims would work. Lexus-CT Posted March 20 Posted March 20 8½ X 2½ = 205mm. 9½ X 2½ = 237.5 225x45x18 would each kilometre have done 497 rotations - and be 660mm tall 225x50x18 would each kilometre have done 480 rotations - and be 682mm 245x45x18 would each kilometre have done 483 rotations - and be 678mm Should the CT go from 17 to 18 rims I would need to change from 245-45x17 to 245-40x18 with same widht of rim

Thanks

Thanks I think you should use 225x50x18 in order to have reasonable speedometer showing. And why tyres are metric mm and rims are Inches need somebody smarter than me to understand

Lexus-CT Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I had a kit-car with 10" rear wheels with 245 tyres on them. Tricky to put them on but with the right tools OK. 1
