I'm new to the SC ('08 with 82k miles) and still trying to figure out what is normal regarding the ride and the response over different types of bumps.  I have experienced what I would call a corkscrew response over some bumps at around 50 - 60 mph (reminiscent of a 1990's Chevy Lumina if anyone remembers those choice rental car gems...).  This may be normal for the SC with its short wheelbase and substantial mass.  It doesn't feel dangerous at all.  I've had a 4-wheel alignment performed and the suspension checked and also put on 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 tires.  The car really only feels how I would expect a Lexus to ride on extremely smooth interstates.

i have an 05 and it is very smooth 82000 on it so you might want to get an inspection to check front end to be sure

Thanks David.  I did just have it checked during the 4-wheel alignment and all looked good.  Have you had to replace any suspension components on your '05?

no i bought mine in august but had it inspected too.  Nothing bad so far expensive getting the maintenance up to speed you know timing belt, spark plugs etc
