Natty Bumppo Posted February 7 Posted February 7 On the 7th Gen Lexus ES350 and other models in this Gen how accurate are the TPMS psi readings? These readings based on a digital signal and a programmed computer chip are no doubt rounded, in this case to the next higher integer w/o decimal fraction. I have checked and reset tire pressures on all 4 at 35psi when cold with my gauge and right away drive and the TPMS always reports about 2 psi higher just after a short 100 ft roll to activate the TPMS not enough time to significantly increase pressure with heat. I realize different gauges have their own bias depending on design. Not critical just asking and FYI Thanks all Pete
Final Effort Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I haven't tried this YET, but I'm goanna roll down the street to activate the sensors then come back home and inflate the tires to the proper pressor.
