2007 GX470 CD DISC DOESNT HAVE POWER

Hey everyone, I recently just got some of my dads old CD's and I went to load them into my cd player but when I pressed load there wasnt any power. The light above the cd player in the glove box works but the player it self wont display any lights when I press load. I can not insert any disc's into the player. Please help.
