Rickpcb
Good morning and first of all thank you all for your help. I am searching for a SC 430 and have run across a 2002 but the vehicle seems to be labeled with a side fender skirt emblem saying F sport. The car itself seems to have oversize frontdisc rotor. I am wondering if there is a special edition package ordered for the 2002SC 430? I can’t seem to find anything anywhere on a special order package and I’m just curious if there’s more horsepower or other such advantages of having the special edition or just just someone sticking on an album and changing the rotors. There seems to be an exhaust modification as well. Thank you again. Richard
Olderthanus
While I know nothing about this topic- there is an "F-Sport" included in this forum under the forums tabs. "Lexus RX300 / RX330 / RX350 / 450h / F-Sport Club". Perhaps it is related.
Rickyboy1234567890
Thank you. I don't think this is a club. As mentioned car has emblem on both front fenders (F Sport) and large front rotors with high performance red calibers. Richard
RX400h
CoPilot : Quote Regarding your question, there wasn't a specific "F Sport" edition for the 2002 Lexus SC 430. The F Sport branding and associated performance upgrades are more commonly associated with later models. It's possible that the previous owner added the F Sport emblem and made modifications, such as the oversize front disc rotors and exhaust modifications, to enhance the car's performance and appearance. The standard 2002 Lexus SC 430 comes with a 4.3-liter V8 engine producing 300 horsepower. Any performance upgrades would likely be aftermarket modifications rather than factory options. If you're considering purchasing this car, it might be a good idea to have a trusted mechanic inspect it to ensure the modifications were done properly and to assess the overall condition of the vehicle. Rickyboy1234567890
Thank you so much. Was considering buying only if it was an upgrade package thinking exactly your thoughts. Richard
