The issue you’re experiencing with your 2008 Lexus GX470 could be due to a few different factors. Here are some possibilities:

  1. Electrical Issue: There could be an electrical issue such as a faulty wiring or a problem with the lamp’s socket that is causing the difference in brightness. It’s also possible that there’s a problem with the vehicle’s voltage regulator causing one lamp to receive more power than the other.

  2. Grounding Issue: Sometimes, a poor ground connection can cause one lamp to appear brighter than the other. Check the ground connections for both lamps to ensure they are clean and secure.

  3. Bulb Type: Even though you’ve replaced both bulbs, it’s worth double-checking that they are indeed the same type. The front bulb in a '08 GX is typically an amber 1156 type, which is a single filament bayonet base.

  4. Daytime Running Light (DRL) System: The DRL system in the GX470 uses the turn signal indicator as the daytime running light. If the DRL system is malfunctioning, it could potentially cause one lamp to appear brighter than the other.

If the problem persists after checking these possibilities, it would be best to have a professional mechanic or a Lexus dealer inspect the vehicle to accurately diagnose and fix the problem.
