Hello Ladies & Gents,

I bought a 19 CPO GX460 a few months back from my local Lexus dealership and love it. Only I noticed when I had to top off the spare tire with air, the tire mount area was rusted. I don't live in an area with any rust issues. I decided to pull some history and It turns out not only did the vehicle come from NY. But the previous owner that owned the vehicle for 3 years/36k miles never even did a single service on it. I went to the dealership that sold it and they confirmed it was never serviced prior to when they got it and certified it to sell to me. They claim Lexus doesn't require CPOs to have any services performed. They just need to catch the services up after the fact. So they said when they sold it to me they did the 30k mile inspection and it fixed all the 3 years of neglect the previous owner did to it. I feel dupped by the Lexus certification and feel like I paid top dollar for a car that was the bottom of the barrel. Is this correct Lexus allows a car to become a CPO that was owned and neglected for 36k miles and never had a service performed prior to the dealer selling it to me?
