Silverfinn Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 I noticed that my 2003 LS430 front wheels are very hot to the touch. Almost to the point of burning your hand and this is for normal around the town driving, no heavy breaking or any kind of brake abuse. I spoke to my Lexus Dealers Service Technician and was told that this is normal. Have any of you experienced this condition?.

Because it is normal.
99lsguy Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 That's why those lug nuts get pretty toasty if your changing a flat during a road trip Keep a pair of gloves in the trunk just for that......and a torque wrench
SW03ES Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 Yep, totally normal. Brakes generate massive amounts of heat and what you're feeling is that heat being transfered to the wheels.
