don_@theaudioone.com Posted November 1, 2004 Share Posted November 1, 2004 hi, am new here. i am considering to purchase a 92 sc300 with 100k on it. the person is asking 6,500 for it. things wrong with it: 1-timing belt needs to be replaced 2-gauge cluster has lighting and accuracy problems 3-needs new valve cover gasket and thats about it. the body and the interior is good. do you guys think is is ok for the car. i mean the kbb value is right on for what he is asking. tell me about your experience with it. thanks for your reply. With what needs done, and the mileage, I wouldn't pay the asking price for it. Timing Belt can be a pricey item, depending on where you have it done. Same with the Valve Cover Gasket. As for the Cluster, I really don't know exactly what is wrong with it, so I can't say how much that would cost. Although his asking price isn't too far off, I think it's a tad much. JDOwen2 Posted November 2, 2004 Share Posted November 2, 2004 If you are the least bit mechanically inclined you can tackle the belt and gasket yourself. The cluster problem is another story.
