Hid Kit Vs. Hid Retrofit

Recommended Posts

This is not a question of which is better. Most people know to have the "real" HID look you have to get projectors from a car with real HID's. My problem is that I just spent $700 on new headlight housings, and the last thing I want to do is start cutting them appart. I have been looking at HID kits to go with the stock projectors.

My question is does anyone here have a HID kit, and do you have pictures. I know that the kits on reflector type housings cause LOTS of glare. I am not sure how this would work with my cars projectors (cut off line ect..)

Any pics, opinions, help, suggestions appreciated.

P.S. before anyone post this as a responce. http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html

Read it already, a few times acctually. :P

Their are too many plug and play 5 minute intstall kits with no wiring or modifications.

I have them on my stock projectors.

I've seen the McCulloch kit in person at night and they look like someone put purple bulbs in a Honduh. Not convincing as OEM at all, IMHO.

Worked great! Don't get bulbs too high in k level. Stick with 4100 to 4600 and you shouldn't have any problems.
